Antoni Kość

Antoni Kość was born in Warsaw on the 20th of March 1986.

As a four year old boy he began to learn violin under the supervision of Professor Sławomir Tomasik and subsequently he was a student of Professor Grażyna Radkowska, Professor Maria Słubicka and Professor Krzysztof Podejko. Antoni performed before wide audience for the first time on the day of his seventh birthday. Since then he has given many concerts, not only solo, but also in chamber and symphonic orchestras. At the age of sixteen he made his debut playing Gypsy Airs by Pablo de Sarasate with Ruben Silva and the orchestra of PLM Karol Szymanowski in Warsaw Philharmonic.

In May 2003 he completed his baccalaureate and received the Degree of Professional Musician. Between September 2003 and June 2006 he studied violin under direction of professor Karen Aroutiounian, at first at Institute Superieur de Musique et de Pedagogie (IMEP) in Namur (Belgium), then in the Royal Conservatory of Liège (Belgium).

Since September 2006 he continues his studies at the Maastricht Conservatory (the Netherlands) in professor's Boris Belkin's class.

Antoni constantly perfects his skills taking part in master classes, contests (2nd prize in the "Karol Szymanowski - 120th birthday anniversary of the composer" contest 2003, 2nd prize in Yamaha Competition 2004) and performing. He has already played numerous times in Poland, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy (Casaglia Music Festival) and the Netherlands.
